1.) Getting Annex
Head over to http://www.4tenonline.com/store to purchase your copy of annex. Make sure you are using firefox, because when you are finished you will reach an installation page to install Annex directly into the browser. Firefox will restart after that, but don't worry, it will restore all of your open tabs if you so choose.
Not a problem. After you purchase annex it will let you know you can't install annex until you are using firefox. When you do get firefox, just login and you will see your purchase and install link there..
Once annex is installed there is a new annex menu in the browser. Click that and then click 'Add Site...'. In the box that opens up, click 'New Site'
Now just type in your site information. You need to know your website, your FTP address, your FTP username, your FTP password and your web root folder.
Once you have entered in the info, just click ‘Test Connection' to make sure what you typed is correct.

Don't know your web root directory?This video shows you how to log into your website so you can find your web root folder.
Now go ahead and navigate to your webpage as if you were normally browsing. When you get there, make sure the page you are at ends in .htm or .html
Your page doesn't end in dot anything? If you know your page is static but it doesn't have anything, or ends in only a slash. Then try typing in index.html and hitting enter. If your page still loads just fine, then you're ready to move on. If not, try doing the same with .htm. If it still doesn't work, other forces are at work making that page dynamic, thus not editable with annex.
When you are on a static page you wish to edit, just click the green Annex triangle next to the address bar. A download box will pop up for a few seconds, and then you’re ready to go. That box will only ever open once per page.
